Heart of Maine Give-Away!

Here in coastal Maine, winter has been brutal this year. Snow has fallen on us by the foot and then, we endured an extensive ice storm that stranded tens of thousands of households without power for many days, some for as long as a week! And, if that wasn't enough for our neighbors to contend with, the temperatures plummeted into the negative digits in a cold snap that made being outside for even short spans of time miserable at best and downright dangerous to the health. But, this is not a sad tale of woe-is-me. In the face of such hardships, the meaning of the word neighbor is truly manifest. People looking out for one another, lending a hand or a home when one was needed. To celebrate the close and loving community at the heart of Maine, I have been blessed to team up with a couple fantastic ladies to give back something to our neighbors near and far who follow along with our journey.

Give Away Package Value $170.00

Silkweeds located on Route One in Searsport, Maine has kindly donated ONE POUND of their famoues FUDGE and a large woven basket. You are invited to visit online or better yet, drop in if you are in the area.

Blueberry Bay Beads (Visit Etsy Shop) donated 2 original hand-crafted glass lampwork bead bracelets on copper wire, a pair of handmade glass lampwork earrings, and a cheerful handmade sun-catcher guaranteed to brighten your day.
When asked about why she creates glass beads, Tammi repied, "As someone who doodles on every piece of paper I see and who also loves bright and shiny things, working with glass to make these beads is the perfect medium for me. I love being able to create intricate designs by layering colors of glass on top of one another or by heating part of the bead in the torch and moving the glass with a tool to create the design I have imagined. I continue to be amazed at the reactions which sometimes occur when pairing two colors of glass together. I love that each time I sit at the torch, I learn something new and already look forward to the next session. Working with glass is such a fun, joyful process to me and I truly hope that is reflected in each bead I create." I think she can rest assured that it does.

Lally Broch Farm (Visit Etsy Shop) donated an original Mosaic Eggshell Pendant on a 20" .925 sterling silver chain, one 5 oz bar of Lally Broch Farm Goat's Milk Soap (Orange Spice scent), and a set of four 1.5 oz Scent Shot wax melts (Apple Harvest, Maine Woods, Cinnamon Buns, and Orange Juice Cake).
